Yes! Petite Ballet offers Grown Up & Me classes for ages 1.5 to 3. In these classes, our 1 and a half and 2 year old students dance with a caregiver in the studio. We also offer classes for students to dance independently as early as two and half years old in our First Steps classes for ages 2.5 - 3.5 years old.

No. Petite Ballet is designed for young children, including beginners and first-time dancers. Each class has an age-appropriate syllabus based on developmental milestones.

Petite Ballet offers an in-studio recital during the last week of our spring session. Parents and caregivers are welcome to watch their dancers show what they've learned over the year, and is a great option for families looking for a meaningful ballet experience without the pressure of a formal recital commitment.

Students should wear proper ballet attire, including a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Boys may wear black leggings, a t-shirt, and black ballet shoes. Beam & Barre can help families select appropriate attire and sizing.

Caregivers participate in Grown Up & Me classes. For independent class levels (ages two and half and up) may remain nearby but are not permitted in the studio. Petite Ballet offers a waiting room where parents and caregivers are welcome to observe the class via a TV if they choose!

Yes! Petite Ballet offers week-long summer camps and one-day camps. Our summer camps have weekly or daily themes and include dance class, storytime, dress up, using props and movement to act out the story, and arts and crafts!

Yes! Petite Ballet offers drop in classes for all ages, and these drop in opportunities will be updated throughout the session. Drop in classes are a wonderful option for students who love to dance but can't commit to a full session of classes.

Yes! Petite Ballet offers storybook workshops which give students the chance to dance, dress up, and tell a story using props and movement.

Petite Ballet serves families from Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside, Old Greenwich, Stamford, Rye Brook, Port Chester, Rye, and surrounding areas in Fairfield and Westchester County.
Our Policies
Registration
Class eligibility is based on age. If a student is registered for a class in which they do not meet the age requirements, a more appropriate class will be recommended. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not see a class on the schedule that works for you, please email studio@petiteballet.com. Payment is required in full at the the time of registration and is accepted only by credit card. Registration is not complete until payment has been processed.
Attire
Any color leotard (with or without skirt) from Beam & Barre, pink tights, proper ballet shoes (please no ballet flats or dress-up ballet shoes). Boys may wear black leggings, a t-shirt of any color, and black ballet shoes. The staff at Beam & Barre are happy to help with selecting appropriate attire, shoes, and sizing. If wearing a skirt or tutu, please be mindful of the length and fluffiness, as they can sometimes hinder movement or be very distracting! Please refrain from wearing any costumes to class unless otherwise instructed. Hair should be neatly pulled back in a bun, ponytail, or braid.
Refunds
Refunds must be requested in writing by emailing studio@petiteballet.com. The deadline for requesting a refund is by the end of the third week of classes in a session. All refunds are subject to a $20 cancellation fee, plus any fees for classes that have passed before the date of the written refund request.
Refunds for week-long summer camps can be requested in writing by emailing studio@petiteballet.com. The deadline for requesting a refund for week-long summer camps is one week before the camp begins. Week-long summer camp refunds are subject to a $15 cancellation fee.
Refunds for Summer Classes can be requested in writing by emailing studio@petiteballet.com. The deadline for requesting a refund for summer session classes is one week before the first day of classes, and refund requests are subject to a $15 cancellation fee.
There are NO refunds for drop-in classes, drop-in camps, one-day camps, or workshops.
Studio Etiquette, Cancellations, and Make-Up Classes
To be as courteous as possible to Beam & Barre shoppers, please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your designated class time. To run, classes and/or camps must have a minimum of 5 students registered at least 1 week before the start date. If this minimum is not reached, best efforts will be made to accommodate students in an alternative class or camp.
Students may make up one missed class per semester, provided there is space available in an alternative class. No make-up classes are allowed during the summer session. If a class is canceled due to weather, teacher illness, or other unforeseen circumstance, students may make up the class on an alternative class day and time. No refunds are offered if you are unable to attend the make-up class at the scheduled date and time. Cancellations and make-up dates will be announced via email and/or on Instagram via Petite Ballet's account.
The decision to suspend in-person classes and move to a virtual platform via Zoom is entirely at the discretion of Petite Ballet, LLC, and will be made if deemed necessary for the health and well-being of students and teachers.
Grown Up & Me Classes
Please note that our Grown Up & Me classes require a caregiver to attend class with the student and to participate. Caregivers should assist students by holding their hands to guide them around the room, sitting on the floor with them, and assisting them to make shapes with their bodies and feet! Caregivers may wear any type of clothing they would be comfortable moving in (students should wear proper attire as listed above). Shoes are not permitted in the dance studio; please wear or bring a pair of socks.
Liability
I hereby release Petite Ballet, LLC from any and all liability and assume any and all risks of participating in the Petite Ballet, LLC program. I accept my responsibility in paying any and all fees and charges. I further acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Petite Ballet, LLC registration policies, all of which are located on www.petiteballet.com. Petite Ballet is not a childcare facility. Students must be escorted into and from the studio by a caregiver. Petite Ballet is not a childcare facility. A waiting room is provided for caregivers. Petite Ballet, LLC has permission to photograph and/or video my child(ren) and consent to the use of material for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes.
